Biofeed Shares National ESG Award for Food Waste Diversion
Biofeed and Apollo Engineering have won the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Award at the 2026 Australian Manufacturing Awards. At the heart of the national award is food waste diversion.
Later in October, at the Hunter Manufacturing Awards, Apollo Engineering, the Australian manufacturer that designs and builds Biofeed, also won Excellence in Sustainability.
Food waste diversion starts on site
Biofeed processes food waste where it is created. The processed material is held in sealed storage for collection, keeping it out of landfill.
Live diversion reporting lets each site track its results. That gives hospitality venues, hospitals, aged care homes and shopping centres a clear, measurable process for their food waste.
Growing fast across NSW
Our installed fleet has more than doubled in the past year, with strong growth in NSW as businesses respond to food-waste diversion mandates.
Biofeed helps businesses meet their food waste obligations as part of their wider waste and collection plan. Read our guide to the NSW food waste mandate and the benefits of Biofeed.
Made in Australia, serviced close to home
Apollo Engineering designs and builds Biofeed in Australia, to Australian Standards AS 4024 for machinery safety, AS 3000 for wiring and AS 1554 for welding.
In the past 18 months Apollo has opened service workshops in Newcastle (Mayfield), Sydney and Brisbane, bringing servicing, maintenance, spare parts and technical support closer to Biofeed sites.
Ben Bronkhorst and Nathaniel Glasheen accepted Apollo's awards at the Hunter Manufacturing Awards gala at NEX Newcastle. Read the list of 2026 winners, or talk to us about Biofeed at your site.
