How Biofeed supports organics recovery and the circular economy
The process is straightforward, hygienic and efficient.
Source-separated food waste, free from packaging, plastics and contaminants, is loaded into the Biofeed unit. The machine macerates the waste with water, reducing it into a semi-solid, pumpable liquid.
This processed organic waste stream is then transferred to a sealed holding tank. From there, a liquid pump-out truck collects the waste and transports it to an approved organics recovery facility.
Depending on local infrastructure and the collection partner, this can support circular economy pathways such as anaerobic digestion, biogas production, composting or other approved resource recovery processes.
