Reduce costly collection fees and beneficially reuse your site's food waste!
At one Sydney shopping centre processing around four tonnes of food waste a week, Biofeed reduced collections from six food waste bin collections a week to one Biofeed pumpout a week. Estimated collection savings were $4,320 a month after equipment costs. We can assess your volumes, current charges and site layout to see whether the numbers work for you.

Biofeed macerates source-separated food waste on site into a pumpable pulp and holds it in a sealed tank. A vacuum truck collects it when the tank automatically notifies you or your collection company when the tank is full to optimise collections.

“Reducing food waste with our new Biofeed unit. Our Biofeed unit is an Australian-made food waste solution that is turning our food scraps from the dining hall into semi-solid, pumpable pulp that is diverted away from landfill.”

Since 1 July 2026, larger NSW sites must separate food waste
Stage 1 applies to sites putting out 3,960 litres or more of general waste a week, about six 660 litre bins. Stage 2 in 2028 halves that. Biofeed supports separation at the source; each site confirms its own obligations with its waste contractor, council and the EPA.
